Go Play Polo ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Go Play Polo mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Go Play Polo:
- Account Information: Email address used for sign-in authentication.
- Profile Information: Name, cap number, and playing positions you provide when setting up your profile.
- Team Information: Team memberships, team roles (player, coach, owner), and invite codes.
- Messages: Text messages, reactions, and replies you send within team conversations.
- Event Data: Events you create or join, including titles, dates, times, and locations.
- Streaming Data: When you broadcast or view a live stream, we process video and audio data in real-time through our streaming provider (Agora). We do not record or store stream content.
- Device Information: Push notification tokens for delivering notifications to your device.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Authenticate your identity and provide access to the App.
- Enable team management features including rosters, events, and messaging.
- Deliver push notifications about team activity, messages, and events.
- Facilitate live streaming between team members.
- Improve and maintain the App's functionality.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:
- With Your Team: Your profile name, cap number, and positions are visible to members of teams you join.
- Service Providers: We use third-party services to operate the App:
- Supabase – Database, authentication, and backend services.
- Agora – Real-time video streaming infrastructure.
- Expo – Push notification delivery.
- Apple App Store – App distribution.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase's cloud infrastructure with row-level security policies that ensure users can only access data they are authorized to view. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or leave a team, your membership data is removed. Messages you sent in team conversations may remain visible to other team members.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and update your profile information at any time through the App.
- Leave any team you have joined.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Children's Privacy
Go Play Polo is intended for use by water polo players, coaches, and team managers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
